Live Rhythms! is back! Live Rhythms! continues to happen in various wonderful settings from time to time. We dance most months at a venue around Totnes or Exeter - each month a different venue! each month a different day of the week! Live Rhythms! It’s a space to breathe, to deepen, to be just as you are, A space to play and experience the simple joy of dance. It’s an adventure, different each time. The music is live – 3 or 4 musicians improvising on the edge of the unknown, listening to the dancers, listening to the moment, each rhythm unfolding from the one before. In the midst of it, Fanny - guiding, dancing, inspiring, Or resting back and just letting magic happen. Sometimes it all feels awkward, Music stumbles, loses momentum, Dancers unsure, what’s next? People seem to separate, become like strangers… Sometimes it all flows like a river Rolling and tumbling, wild in the dance Music, dancers, musicians all one Opening out into still, quiet spaces Or tender, touching ones
