Bring Them All In
An exploration in mutuality
This is a new retreat in which we will explore how parts of our psyche interact with one another to create systems which are beautifully crafted to conceal and protect not only our deepest vulnerability, our fear and our shame, but often much of our beauty, energy and capacity. Working as a whole group we will create or sculpt enactments of our inner landscape – a beautiful and profound process that gives a real insight into what goes on inside us, as well as providing opportunities for healing and unburdening as we come into relationship with parts of ourselves and each other that have been neglected, disowned or rejected over the years.
On this retreat I want to create a structure that has a lot of space in it – to allow plenty of time for digestion and relaxation. I’m envisioning that we’ll use the mornings for sharing, movement work and various enquiries to support us to drop deeper into embodied Presence. Then in the afternoons we’ll do the enactments – probably two people each day. And the evenings will be time to relax – to dance, share massage, hang out informally with others or simply rest.
The retreat will be over 7 days (6 nights) and will be for up to 12 people. Not everyone will get to do a ’sculpt’ of their parts, but the process of being part of others tends to be very powerful in itself as we get to see how similar our psyches’ responses to wounding are - and we put ourselves in service of a group healing process which touches us all. (Names out of a hat will determine who gets to do this.)
